February 9, 2013Champions and Addiction – Your BIG GAME
Tomorrow is the “big game” – the Super bowl! Just imagine what a day that will be for all of those players, coaches and staff who have been preparing for this day most of their lives. Can you just imagine the fantasy times they each have had thinking of this moment – running onto the field, hearing the roar of the crowd, making the “big play” that wins the game, and finally being crowned champion? This does not happen by accident…rather by putting time, energy and belief into your goal. Each of us is capable of playing in our own “big game” – whatever that may turn out to be.
“There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.” –Beverly Sills
Most of us never get to play in a “big game” like the Super bowl. In fact we may find that things don’t go “right” in our lives yet that does not mean that we need to go “wrong” with it! Addiction encourages us to go “wrong”! Please avoid that trap because once you head down that road it becomes quite difficult to come back. You will give up on yourself, lose hope and never fulfill your fantasy. Keep up the good fight, honor your dreams, and trust in your ability to reach the highest of heights in your life. Get into a healthy lifestyle, start a program of recovery, reach out for guidance from those who have gone before you…champions all! Find the champion in you today!
