Who are the people of this business? Aside from the 100 years of clinical experience of our team, all have at least a master’s degree in a mental health/health profession and two members are doctoral trained college educators and we hold a number of different licenses. Omega (Meg) J. Galliano, MS, MFT, LADC (Chief Executive Officer) obtained a master of science degree in clinical psychology. As a licensed psychologist, marriage and family therapist, and alcohol and drug counselor, she has held various management positions in national corporations including interACCESS and Health Risk Management. She has developed numerous employee assistance programs and utilization management programs, as well as provided consultations in the field of behavioral health to Fortune 500 organizations. Each position afforded her an opportunity to further develop her counseling and consultation skills. Ms. Galliano currently is a principal in Provider Profiles, Inc., which provides consulting for behavioral health and offers direct counseling. In the last decade, she has developed self-help programs to help patients recognize their own inherent power, which has evolved into SubstanceEducation.com. Frances (Fran) J. Joslin, MS, MFT (Chief Financial Officer) holds a master of science degree in clinical psychology and is licensed as a marriage and family therapist. While in graduate school, she began exploring innovative ways to help individuals reach their full potential and continues today to be a major force in the therapy community. Ms. Joslin was one of the first professionals to assist in the development of programs that help the needy during times of disaster and has related articles in national journals. She is the President of Provider Profiles, Inc., which provides employee assistance, counseling, consultations, and seminars to motivate and train others to help themselves. Steven (Steve) Trimble (Vice President of Business Development) obtained his degree in Business from Fort Hays State University. Mr. Trimble has over 35 years of experience working in sales and marketing, focusing primarily on energy and commodities sales. His work with ConocoPhillips, a Fortune 500 company, as well as corporate positions within Duke Energy, NGC Corporation, Louis Dreyfus Energy, and, most recently, Deutsche Bank, has positioned him to lead the SubstanceEducation.com growth both nationally and globally. James (Jim) H. Cook, Jr, PhD, LCPC, LPC has a doctor of philosophy degree in educational psychology, with an emphasis in counselor education and is a licensed professional counselor. Dr. Cook received his master’s degree in counseling from Marshall University and his doctor of philosophy degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He currently is an associate professor of counseling and teaches students in mental health counseling and group psychotherapy. He has presented at local, state, and national conferences on topics related to older adults, depression, group counseling, and counselor training. He has published scholarly articles and a book chapter on topics related to older adults. Dr. Cook specializes in counseling older adults and adults whom are experiencing problems related to depression, aging, addictions, sexual orientation, and healthy relationships. As a full-time educator, SubstanceEducation.com represents a natural extension of his passion for teaching mental health and addiction-related information. Stephen (Steve) W. Smith, MSEd earned a master of science in education degree in health education from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He is an associate professor at Saint Louis Community College at Forest Park, where he has extensive experience in the development and implementation of distance learning and online courses. His undergraduate degree in Religion has fostered an interest in spirituality, as well as personal growth and development. Debra (Deb) Trimble, PhD, RN, WHNP-BC, FNP-C, AACRN (Vice President of Medical Education) earned her master of science and doctor of philosophy degrees in nursing from Texas Women’s University. Dr. Trimble is board certified as a Women’s Healthcare Nurse Practitioner, a Family Nurse Practitioner, and an Advanced AIDS Certified Registered Nurse. During her thirty-four year career, she has held various positions in both public and private healthcare organizations and has taught nursing at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Trimble’s clinical interest and passion is the care of HIV-infected persons, having provided both primary and speciality care to include pain management. In this capacity, Dr. Trimble has also had extensive experience with substance issues. She currently serves on the national HIV/AIDS Nursing Certification Board and previously served as a board member for the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care. Dr. Trimble has published scholarly articles and often speaks at local, state, national, and international conferences. Currently, Dr. Trimble is an instructor and Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Medicine and Infectious Disease for Baylor College of Medicine, where she works in clinical research with HIV-infected persons. Jayne Joslin Casper is a psychology student currently enrolled at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, where she plans to obtain her master of science degree in clinical psychology. Ms. Casper has extensive experience working with the developmentally disabled and emotionally disturbed populations, holding numerous positions across a variety of agencies. Her research skills make her a valuable resource.
